Weight Loss Surgery Studies

Blood Sugar, Feelings, Thoughts and Eating Habits After Bariatric Surgery


  • Purpose: Look at how feelings, thoughts, and blood sugar levels impact daily eating habits following bariatric surgery.
  • May be eligible: Age 18-65 years old and had bariatric surgery approximately one year ago.

Reinforcement and Alcohol After Bariatric Surgery


  • Purpose: Examine relationship between alcohol use and experiences related to alcohol after bariatric surgery.
  • May be eligible: Age 21-65 years old and had bariatric surgery approximately one year ago.

Other Current Studies

Attention, Eating Behavior and Brain Activity


  • Purpose: Increase our understanding of the relationship between what we pay attention to and abnormal eating behaviors, and how both are related to ongoing brain activity.
  • May be eligible: Age 18-45 years old and BMI of 18 and above.

Microbiome, Stress Response and Eating Behaviors


  • Purpose: Examine relationships between gut microbiota, stress reactivity, food reward value, and stress-related eating.
  • May be eligible: Age 18-50 years old and BMI of 25 and above.
